Peter thomas bullen
Peter Thomas Bullen, a hair cutter and co-founder of Peter Thomas Hair in Berkeley began writing at the urging of his wife. In general, he is in need of urging in order to do much of anything. After taking an intro to fiction class from Mary Webb, he began falling in love with creative writing. It's always nice to fall in love, or at least that has been Peter's experience. There are of course other sides to that coin and his fiction explores some of them. Peter's short fiction has landed him in several Quiet Lightning shows which he credits with keeping him both inspired and obsessed. His Quiet Lightning YouTube readings can easily be found on the Internet (at least he thinks that's what it's called).
In 2016, his first book of short prose Wallflower came out from Nomadic Press. Joshua Mohr said it "reads like a lovely mash-up of John Barth and Gary Lutz." He has been a regular featured reader at San Francisco's LitQuake and at Red Light Lit shows in both SanFrancisco and Los Angeles. His work has appeared in sPARKLE & bLINK, eleven eleven, the LA Review Of Books, (b)OINK, Typishly, Red Wheelbarrow, The Oakland Review, Red Light Lit, and Sweet Wolverine. He is at work on a new collection of short stories, weird dialogues, and prose poems. He has been known to blog at wetriedourbest.wordpress.com.
