Join us at our cozy Oakland Workspace as participants of the Arisa White Workshop (Norma Smith, Mario Gonzales, Andy, and Meredith Simon) share the bounty of their five-week workshop with audience members. Live musical interludes by Harriet Poznansky will grace the relaxing afternoon.
Donations will be called for throughout the night, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Wine and Red Bay coffee will be available (donations asked for to help cover costs).
Harriet Poznansky is a visual artist, musician and writer from the UK. She has played violin since she was six and continues to find joy in it's expression. Poznansky has played within orchestras, folk bands and is a member of the infamous electro, folk experimental rock band Lyla Tov performing together in many pubs across London as well as headlining the Into the Wild Festival in 2014. Poznansky has recently started a personal compositional project using her violin and digital production trying to describe collective and spatial memory through soundscape. At Nomadic Press, she will be performing a program of baroque and classical music, including Bach, Chopin and Vivaldi.
Parking: Street parking is usually available, but the easiest thing to do is to park at the Walgreens just a block away. Here is a handy map (you should see Nomadic Press on there): https://goo.gl/maps/SgaHMhV88MA2
