Join us for a night of poetical explorations into fluid, memoried, and haunting territories by Sandra Wassilie. Music by Andy Mignano and Devin Lane.
Donations will be kindly requested, though no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
When Sandra Wassilie moved back to the foggy hills of her birth on the San Francisco Bay from the icy mountains of Alaska over seven years ago, she became serious about writing poetry. In 2012, she completed an MFA in Creative Writing from San Francisco State University where she enjoyed positions as managing editor, then poetry editor at Fourteen Hills. She currently lives in Oakland and co-curates the Bay Area Generation Reading Series. Her writing often examines the amorphous yet powerful presence of memory in habitat, materiality, and human interaction. Her work appears in several publications including Alaska Women Writing, Between the Lines, California Quarterly, Cirque, sPARKLE & bLINK, Transfer, and Writing Without Walls.
International audiences have delighted for years in the infinite charm of Andy Mignano: a bewitching flash of tenderness behind his glance. His nimble fingers cast a spell with every riff complementing deeply poignant and often hilariously satirical lyrics.

There is ample street parking, but just to make it easy, there is an O'Reilly Auto Parts/Walgreens on the corner of Fruitvale and Foothill with a huge parking lot. Here's a Google Map link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/O'Reilly+Auto+Partsfirstname.lastname@example.org,-122.233008,14z/data=!4m5!1m2!2m1!1so+reilly+auto+parts+near+Foothill+Blvd,+Oakland,+CA!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0xa74c9fbc2152bd68
Nomadic Press should show up on that map as well. We are just in between Austin and Rutherford on Foothill.
Hope to see you!
