Peter (Thomas) Bullen, a Berkeley hairdresser started writing at 49, so will never be in the New Yorker's 30 under 30 collection. His sorrow was mitigated slightly by reading at Barely Published Authors (a description he feels captures him perfectly) at LitQuake in 2014, and being a Quiet Lightning Neighborhood Hero that same year. However the weeping and sleepless nights continue! His work has appeared in Sparkle and Blink and Blotterature, and is forthcoming in Eleven Eleven and Weave. His excerpts, stray thoughts, and wishes can be found at WETRIEDOURBEST.WORDPRESS.COM
Ancient Baby is Chris Peck's new thing. The forthcoming debut album is a collection of songs dedicated to the Earth, and a feeling of gentleness towards it. Album sketches, kickstarter news and hand-made art can soon be viewed at www.peckthetowncrier.com, CP's home base for all projects past and present.
There is ample street parking, but just to make it easy, there is an O'Reilly Auto Parts/Walgreens on the corner of Fruitvale and Foothill with a huge parking lot. Here's a Google Map link: https://www.google.com/maps/place/O'Reilly+Auto+Partsfirstname.lastname@example.org,-122.233008,14z/data=!4m5!1m2!2m1!1so+reilly+auto+parts+near+Foothill+Blvd,+Oakland,+CA!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0xa74c9fbc2152bd68
Nomadic Press should show up on that map as well. We are just in between Austin and Rutherford on Foothill.
Hope to see you soon!
