Come out to Brooklyn Art Library at 28 Frost Street in Williamsburg (home of The Sketchbook Project) for a Thursday evening Nomadic Press showcase of comic book artists projecting and talking about their work. The line-up is curated by Bushwick Daily cartoonist Jeremy Nguyen, and includes Benjamin Frisch, R. Sikoryak, Jackie Ferrentino, and Stephanie Rodriguez.

Benjamin Frisch is a New York based artist and podcast producer. His first graphic novel, "The Fun Family" was released this summer by Top Shelf Productions and has been called "Required reading for the coming sanity wars, this story is the stuff of my nightmares..." by Paul Hornschemeier. Benjamin's work has also appeared on Wonkette.com, and The Graphic Canon comics anthologies. His work as an audio producer has appeared on NPR, KCRW, Slate.com, and Love + Radio.
R. Sikoryak is the author of Masterpiece Comics (Drawn & Quarterly) and Terms and Conditions: The Graphic Novel (coming in 2017). His comics and illustrations have appeared on the cover of The New Yorker, Fortune, LA Weekly, and The New York Times Book Review, as well as in The Onion, GQ, and MAD, and on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. His adaptations of literary classics have appeared in The Best American Comics 2015, The Graphic Canon, Drawn and Quarterly, and Fable Comics. Sikoryak teaches at Parsons School of Design and The Center for Cartoon Studies. Since 1997, he's presented his live comics performance series, Carousel, around the United States and Canada.
Jackie Ferrentino is an illustrator, cartoonist and lefty based in Brooklyn, New York. Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2015, she has worked for clients such as TIME, NPR, Mother Jones and Bloomingdale’s. Her work has also received recognition from American Illustration, The World Illustration Awards and The Society of Illustrators. In addition to freelance illustration, she is a member of the illustration collective, Plum, and works as the graphics editor and staff illustrator at Nautilus Magazine.
Fresh out of the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration. Stephanie Rodriguez is an up and coming illustrator working from her tiny studio in the Bronx. Creating Illustrations, Comics, and Stop- Motion Animations with a bit of that Boogie Down Bronx vibe.
