Join us in the back room at Pine Box Rock Shop in Bushwick for poetry from Libby Mislan, Nathaniel Kressen, Ronna Lebo, and Malik Crumpler., with music by Melissa Czarnik.

Libby Mislan is a New York City-based poet specializing in interdisciplinary performance. Her poetry shares a heart with music and dance and is often performed accompanied by ambient grooves and dance. She gravitates towards tales of transformation, healing and epiphany, and is heavily influenced by the natural world as well as the landscapes and culture of her NYC home. Deeply inspired by hip hop and the power of rhythmic certainty, rhyme weaves its way through much of her work. Libby is the co-founder of Expression Sessions (, an interdisciplinary arts space/workshop for creative exploration, healing and growth through meditation, movement and poetry. For more info, go to


Nathaniel Kressen is a Brooklyn-based writer who is the author of "Concrete Fever", the co-founder of Second Skin Books, and the leader of the Greenpoint Writers Group. His debut novel was independently released, and went on to grace the shelves of 50+ stores nationwide and become a Bestseller at NYC’s legendary Strand Book Store. Ronna Lebo is a New Jersey-based painter and co-founder of Reservoir Art Space in Ridgewood, Queens, NY. She is also a co-founder and editor of Black Square Editions, a not-for-profit small press for poetry and visual arts. She performed for twelve years as Alice B. Talkless, won a Jackie 60 New Artist Award, and was included in two CMJ music festivals. Her poetry has been published in Arbella, Long Shot, Big Hammer, Words,This Broken Shore, Whim Wit and the anthology Will Work for Peace edited by Brett Axel.
