About the readers:

Ash Faith is a poet and mediation guru whose work is largely influenced from his two month coma and rehabilitation. Growing up in Queens, New York Ash came equipped with a city-hustle style that kept him working and commuting while attending Purchase College where he was immersed in films and music. Such references to pop culture can be found in much of his writing about re-birth.

Boni Joi was born in North Miami Beach, Florida, raised in New Jersey and discovered her lost lineage in Salem, Massachusetts. She has a MFA from Columbia University and has read and performed her poems at numerous venues in New Jersey, New York and elsewhere including Switzerland, Canada, and England. Her poems have appeared in Arabella, Long Shot, Boog City Reader, Big Hammer, Lungfull!, The Brooklyn Rail and many other journals. A clip of her performance was featured on National Public Radio’s This American Life during an interview with the progenitor, David Nadleberg and her piece was published in the book Mortified: Love is a Battlefield (2008). Her first collection of poetry, Before During or After Rainstorms, was published in 2012. Boston Review says: "Armed with an eye for the particular and a knack for gentle satire, Joi writes from the front lines of a doomed fight for America's spirit, but does so with a bright infectious gusto." She works a photograph and reference archivist and lives with musical chef Tobi Joi in Brooklyn.

Adam Selbst is a storyteller and designer living in Brooklyn. He is a Moth storyslam winner and can also be spotted hosting Big Irv's Storytelling Show and the Bodega Monthly.

Hope Cardenas was born on a tiny island in the Caribbean. At the age of two her and her mother moved west. Hope feels that growing up between the pastel hued sunsets of Arizona and the immense joy of Pacific Coast of California was an utter blessing and has left an indelible mark on her soul. Her scholastic training was in Dance, Theater and Performance Studies at UC Berkeley. She's spent more than a decade long incubation period here in New York City where she's sure the charms of this metropolis will validate her in ways still unknown.
